That wasn't a fart, that was a full on shart!
Told you they weren't GHRs, you tend to need to bend right over
for those and get some glute extension in there too. But those
curls are brutal

Very nearly a shart lol. It came out of nowhere, I was giggling
so much I didn’t think I’d be able to finish the set.

Wednesday 12/06/19
Bench
bar x 20
50 x 5
70 x 5
90 x 5
100 x 5x2
Bench Pin Press
100 x 5
110 x 5
115 x 5
120 x 5
Rope Pull Ups
BW+10 x 6, 6, 5, 4
DB Rows
36 x 3x12
Lat Raises
6 x 3x12
Happy with bench, using a pause again now as I'm back on
strength, trying to use my arch as well, it still feels like a
big arch but looks flat. Felt strong and stable though.
Moved onto pin press and increased the weight as I went on.
Really love these, if I don't brace properly at the start of the
lift my shoulders actually hurt a little bit, so when I'm
setting up it makes pull my shoulder blades into the pad
properly, when I do that it doesn't hurt at all so its a good
way to drill it in. Felt strong too, didn't expect to get the
120 for 5 so happy with that.
Rope pull ups were a killer, crushes your fingers, I haven't
gone this heavy on these though before so hopefully they will
get used to it soon.

Nice mate. A strong stable position is what you're after so if
increasing your arch needs to retain those features or you'll
end up in a weaker position. Receiving a negative feedback loop
for bad form is a positive thing in my book. If it makes you use
good form then it will be drilled into you much more
effectively.

As you’ve just started a strength block , now is the time to
act! Get a cheap foam roller ( pound store, Aldi /Liddell etc),
cut in half and use to make an arch for your bench. Put on your
bench for every pressing session for the next month, you will
then naturally be able to throw up a big arch!

Friday 14/06/19
Deadlifts
70 x 10
110 x 5
150 x 5
170 x 5x2
BB Shrugs
130 x 4x10
Squats
60 x 8
80 x 8
100 x 8
Russian Ham Curls
BW (band assisted) x 3x5
Deads went well. Started with my feet more under the bar this
time, so the bar was closer to my shins, felt better. I think
some bad habits had crept in and the bar was starting a bit too
far away from me so trying to address this now.
Ham curls were much better with the band assistance. Only a
quick makeshift setup with the band, just strapped it straight
across in front of me to lower myself into, certainly made a
difference.

Saturday 15/06/19
Strict Press
Bar x 20
40 x 10
50 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 2, 2, 2, 2, 6
Deadlift Rows
60 x 10
80 x 10
100 x 8
Single Lever Arm Rows (machine)
45 x 4x8
Incline DB Bench
20 x 12
30 x 12
35 x 10
I love pressing, definitely my fav exercise. The doubles felt
easy so decided to do an AMRAP on final set. Managed 6, which
was equal to last week so no new PB but they moved really well.
Dead rows were fun, first time I’ve done these in a very long
time I think so built up the weight slowly. Lever Arm Rows were
tougher this week but I’m guessing mainly due to doing them
after the dead rows.
Had another bloke commenting on my strength today, saying I’m
pretty strong for my size which was nice. I suppose I felt a bit
like Brett does, except instead of women giggling and ogling at
me it’s men. I’ll still take it though.
Got one of my fanboys to video me properly this time lol.

I wonder if we'd have all carried on down this path if we knew
we'd get more men commenting to us than women lol
Nice work getting the assisted work on the curls.
