I've always thought you would have been a very decent strongman.
As in fairly top level if you'd have been guided into it when
younger. You are definitely built for it, big hands, wrists,
       legs, ankles etc.

It is the kind of sport where you can enter in later life and do
quite well (Ffs I’m only 35!). A few top guys started at 38-40.
I’d have an advantage as I’ve done 15 years of lifting and I
played high level sport at school so I have a decent GPP.
Depends how much focus I could put to it

While you can move well, I dare say the extent and repetitive
nature of you injuries may well make the more dynamic stull a
far greater injury concern in the future...no?
That aside, I do agree that you could probably do pretty well

I could take up tiddly-winks and I’d bound get some form of
injury! I’ve become a lot smarter and dare say it more sensible
in the last year or so... don’t really want to take as many
risks training wise like I used to and touch wood I’ve nursed
all my injuries back and have had a decent run of no booboos

Knowing your luck you would be winning coming into the final
event then slip on a curb injuring yourself and losing out.

Just be very very careful mate...injuries from strongman are
common and often severe, anyone with past knee, shoulder or back
injuries I would put off from it. Comps are brutal, often with
poor warm ups and I have seen some bad injuries as a result. IMO
Strongman is a young mans sport, some can transition in during
their 40's but the majority pull out at that point and switch to
       powerlifting like I did lol.
       Just be careful bud.

Yes but digging with a digger is fun! Digging with a spade and a
       trug, not so much!

Yeh i do realise that. It is brutal. Will see how everything
falls into place when I start ramping up the training again.. if
all fails, I could destroy myself in a comp and then do a
twathead and bleed the government dry!

Nothing quite like an atlas stone on the foot to hammer home
       that point lol
How has the manual labour treated your knees mate? Has it helped
at all? Also hows the finger you sliced?

My knees have been great. They were feeling about 90% and then
that Squat Everyday program I ran literally sorted them out
completely. There is definately something in super high
frequency ‘repeated bouts’ training. The manual labour has had
no real ill effects. Although I’m as stiff as a board. I’ve been
neglecting yoga.. did some tonight.. I’v lost a ton of
flexibility so need to get back on that track.
The finger wasn’t sliced, it was skewered. And I still can’t
feel half of it.feels like a corpse finger lol
