I just don’t know how you can pull/push any weight with a broken
wrist! Hats off to you bud! Obviously you need to be aware of
your tolerances though.
Garden envy lol. I hate gardening with a passion, which is a
shame as we have a lot of it. I just see it as a giant money
pit. Water is a precious resource here I don’t see the point in
dumping it on grass that does in the summer anyway.
Next house all concrete, as far as the eye can see. Be more
helipad than garden lol.

The pushing movements are definitely the biggest issue. Benched
55kg tonight and even with a splint that locks me in place I
could feel the discomfort and weakness.
In a bit stuck for movements as wrists tend to come in to play
for full range of movements but I did buy some elastics which I
use use as a make shift pec dec sat backwards on my preacher
bench.
I am really missing my dips, reading a few journals where dips
are mentioned has me itching to get going. My development in
strength and body composition is well below average but I could
dip 8 reps with 40kg hanging off me and it was without doubt my
strongest movement followed by pull-ups. I really have to fight
the temptation because nothing good can come from dipping at the
moment.

Completely agree mate.
Is there some way you can do more band work? Perhaps find a way
to attach it to your wrists and upper arms to do isolation
stuff?

Still plodding away with training but no closer to sorting my
right wrist or left index finger.
Typical week this week,
Monday x-ray
Tuesday Physio
Friday CT scan.
I counted and I’m up to 14 X-rays and 4 ct scans so far. I’m
kind of hoping that all the radiation(?) will lead me to turn
into the Hulk.
Only 1 physio and 1 orthopaedic appointment in the next 11 days
so not so much chasing my tail. Physio has been testing my wrist
mobility and I have around 25% normal movement. They are going
to try physically manipulating it by forcing and cracking it
further than it want to go but can’t until we find out if the
bone has unionised or if I need another OP. I’m sure I’ve
written that before because it really does feel like I’m going
round in circles with this.
Training and eating is still in limbo but I’ve started to
organise a mates stag to Portugal. Ideally I want 6 months of
‘bulking ‘ followed by a 3 month cut ready for June 26th next
year. Still think it’s doable depending on ct results on October
15th.

What do they hope to find new after 14 x rays

The last X-ray was a complete waste of time. The doc said ‘the
bone is lined up but do it should be because you have a screw in
it’. Then booked the ct scan which will actually show if any
healing has taken place. 3rd Ct since the surgery on first week
of May. I think they are stalling. I’m under the south’s
specialist and he only works locally every couple of months. I
get the feeling the other orthopaedic docs can’t or don’t want
to authorise a second operation.

What a ball ache. Can you not get the guy on the phone if the
other clinicians aren't doing anything

Good shout.
If I don’t see him at my next appointment, I will request his
secretary’s number and try and deal directly with him.
