Is good you are getting back in the saddle though mate.
Are the docs all okay with you weight lifting?

Haven’t asked. Technically my wrist is still fractured until
they tell me otherwise after a CT scan on the 22nd.

LOL! Probably best not to mention it then. Just look after it
mate obviously blood flow will certainly help but you don't want
to stress those injuries!

Great to see you still training and stepping it up. Could of
been easy to slip out of training altogether so well done on
that front mate

Had my ct scan a week ago and my consultant appointment a few
days ago. Wrist is still broken and no union is taking place
FML!
They want me to still start physio as my hand/arm is ‘unhealthy
‘ at the moment. I go back in 6 weeks where they will decide
whether to do another OP and put in more screws or not.
Their thinking is physio may make me ‘healthier ‘ which will
give a second OP a better chance of success.
2nd of March - now. I’m thoroughly, totally, unequivocally done
with this now.

Any suggested reason as why it's not healing?

I can’t beleive they’re sending you to physio with it still
broken.
If anything, any good sir you do now will just be Set back when
the op is done.
I would push to get it sorted now, not have them drag it out
another 6 weeks!
Keep your chin up tho buddy! You’ve been through so much, it’s a
testament to your character!
How’s your squat coming along?

DV. It’s just a crappy bone to heal the scaphoid bone. Screwed
together but no union / fusion. Such a lack of blood flow and
calcium deposits make it amongst the worst healers of all the
bones.
Animal. My OP was 5th of May (I think). Apparently they want to
give it a few more weeks to have chance to sort itself out. My
untrained knowledge of the situation can’t see things improving
in 6 weeks if they haven’t already.
I’m really confused as to what the physio can do. I can only
presume it’s general mobility for the wrist avoiding stressing
the scaphoid as it has been immobile for 5 months.
Bulgarian split squats (one leg up behind on bench) are up to
25kg for 4 sets of 15.
I have actually started working the upper body but light and not
risking the wrist.

Another sports massage mate of mine broke his scaphoid years ago
(I think that's the one, down under his thumb in his wrist),
he's just had to lay off his massage work for 2 weeks as it
flared right up and he couldn't put any pressure thru it so you
assessment of it's healing ability would ring true there

Sucks mate.
As annoying as it is just needs to heal. Could you take up
something else like swimming to at least get some zero impact
resistance training in?

A week off work but busy with life. Had my accident 8 days after
moving house so the ‘to do list’ has been growing ever longer.
Managed to break the back of the mundane things and moved on to
some more interesting jobs. Promised the Mrs I would build her
some raised garden beds. Sounds easy but 2.4m x 1.8m boxes built
into the slope in part of the rear garden had my maths skills
working overtime to end up with a level finish.
I generally dislike gardening but recently I have had a bee in
my bonnet about my lawns. There’s a house down the road with
pristine grass and I’ve got lawn envy. I’ve now started to water
regularly, raked the majority of the ‘thatch’ out , fed and sawn
some seeds in certain areas. The back lawn is about the size of
one and a half tennis courts so raking the crap up nearly killed
me. It better be worth it!
In a stereotypical manly fashion, I’ve got myself some ‘power’.
A 175cc petrol self propelled mower. Well I’ve got to have some
fun.
Another promise completed was to take my lad fishing in the
nearby lake that has a growing national reputation. With a size
of 25 acres and a very low stocking of big carp, I told him we
would target pike for him while my carp rods sat dormant.
Managed to winkle him an 8lb pike so he was happy.
Next up is prepping for a belated housewarming party for
Saturday. Complete ball ache beg borrowing and stealing garden
furniture, buying things in and prepping the food. A few beers
in the sun with good friends will make it worth it though.
Training.
Moved on to a push/pull split each done twice a week.
Benching 55kg for sets of 20.
Lat pull down 60kg x 15s
DB rows 25kg x 20
Squats 55kg x 20
Seated military press 35kg x 20
Bench, military press and squats causing the most issue with my
wrist but body is definitely changing for the better.
Physio yesterday who seemed to be quite concerned over my wrist.
Back to the hospital on September 10th to see the hand
specialist so trying not to worry about it until then.

I hope no-one drinks too much and chunders or you lawn
improvement efforts. PITA about the hand tho but at least you
are getting some reasonable quality training in.
