So how did you get on at the specialist mate?
Just catching up recovery is slow but sounding very positive
bud. How is the mother in law was she ok?

Hey mate. Specialist was happy that the scans show that the OP
went well and everything is all lined up where the bones should
be. CT scan booked for July 23rd where hopefully it will show
the fracture has healed/healing.
The doctor was going to put me back in plaster but I looked at
him with puppy dog eyes and said it’s been 4 months!
He agreed to let me wear a removable splint instead.
Which means I can have a proper shower!!!
I’ve also started driving again. Pretty much just one handed but
I need some independence after so long. Technically no doctor
ever said I couldn’t and I haven’t asked for permission to start
for fear of them saying no.
MIL is back in Turkey and having treatment. She survived the
flight but was in hospital again 2 days later. She’s home again
and is an outpatient. She’s much happier being able to talk to
the docs in her language.

Good news on the hand/arm.... baby steps, but all important ones
nonetheless. Bonus with the M-I-L too

Stepped up the training a little.
I’ve now moved on to a very light 3 day full body routine. I’m
trying not to wear my splint during the day but do during
‘sessions’.
Sit down fellas because these weights are going to blow you
away.
BB Incline bench 22.5kg x 20 x 17 x17
Lat pull downs 30kg x 20 x 17 x 16
Seated military press 22.5kg x 18 x 16 x 14
Preacher curls 10kg x 20 x 20 x 30
20lb elastic Tri pull down single hand x 15x 15 x15
Spit squats 17.5kg x 10 x 10x 12
Calf raise 17.5kg x 25 x 25 x 25
Wrist is sore but I don’t think I’m affecting the fracture
healing. CT scan on the 22nd July may prove me otherwise.
Just happy to be doing something for upper body after almost 5
months.

This is when TUT and even things like occlusion training could
be a good experiment for you. It will help keep the loads down
and to get what stimulation you can from loads being used. I
feel your pain tho, when I ruptured my bicep I was only in a
sling for about 12wks IIRC but that was 3 months of torture

Never been keen on the thought of occlusion training but it will
be interesting playing around with TUT.
I never really committed to full body training either. Depending
on what you read and who you believe, being a low T sufferer and
an ecto the frequent bouts of minimal stimulus may work for me.
Legs have certainly responded well to this style but that might
be due to the fact they were the only muscle group being
trained.

Yeah. When nothing else is being trained what you can train can
be done very differently and with success

Is good you are getting back in the saddle though mate.
Are the docs all okay with you weight lifting?

Haven’t asked. Technically my wrist is still fractured until
they tell me otherwise after a CT scan on the 22nd.
