Hows the insurance dealing with it now? Wasn't the young lad who
hit you making things difficult?

Cheers fellas.
Another couple of sessions has me up at the heady heights of
3.75kg all round.
Had a tough week. Mother in law is over from Turkey and she had
a stroke on Tuesday. She was due to go home next week as her
visa expires. She’s certainly not well enough to travel so I
need to contact the home office (border agency) to get a
temporary extension.
The hardest part is she hasn’t received the treatment she may
require. Being non EU we faced a £1500 bill for overnight
observation in hospital. Depending on those obs more tests might
be required running into £thousands.
Never nice thinking about money when someone’s health is at
stake but she took the decision out of our hands by self
discharging herself opting for treatment and investigation when
she gets home to Turkey.
We are now in limbo for a few weeks waiting for her to be fit to
travel whilst hoping she doesn’t have another stroke.

Bloody hell mate, that sounds a nightmare. I assume she doesn't
take out any insurance to cover such things when she travels
then. Fingers crossed anyway.

Well, a sensible person would. She’s not in a great health place
at the best of times. Usually her daughter (my sister in law)
sorts Insurance for them both when they come. This time she
forgot!

Bloody hell mate! Hope she is alright. I wonder if the airline
would accept her if they got wind of the fact she's not been
cleared? I don't know if that would be an issue or not though
TBH.

Big day on Tuesday.
I see the hand specialist for my part of the country. I will
find out if my right arm can come out of plaster for the first
time in 15/16 weeks. I’m hoping that it can and I just need a
removable splint for a while during rehab.
He will hopefully get to the problem of my left index finger,
anything but a knuckle replacement will be a win.
Still training legs 2/3 times a week. Knees are less sore and
almost back to Pre accident state.
Still only single leg squatting with 10kg round waist and same
for calf raises but progress is progress.
Slightly naughty but I’ve started curling 2.5kg plates. Hands
hurt but I don’t think I’m harming them.
Roll on Tuesday
