Yes that was indeed great that he offered to do that. I think
what the guys are referring to is more a temporary small
addition to the 404 error page which for those people who log
into MuscleTalk infrequently will then see that there's still a
place to chat with (i hope) a very similar ethos as MT. I don't
think the suggestion of a link was meant to mean an association
as such, or as a permenant or long term feature.....rather just
as a short term thing.
I dunno.....it's a hard one

Another issue, is that there's not much chance of getting new
members with the current name. It doesn't really give any clue
what the forum is about if it popped up on a google search.

I typed in 'bodybuilding forums in uk' into google and obviously
no mention of this site. As you say it's going to be hard to
expand at present.

I am not sure how the SEO stuff works on here. I'll have to look
into it.
On the name, the two I have at the back of my mind are indeed,
TalkMuscle, and Muscletalkers, although I can see why Jason
might think the later was too similar.
Of course the more suggestions to pick from, the better.

I suspect either would be a bit close to the mark TBH... I know
J&J wish this site the best but I think both imply too much of a
connection business wise which may start to put as all in an
awkward position. And once up and running we won't need to ride
the coat-tails of MT. It would be good to get a range to choose
from but something a bit more original would be better I think.
It's tricky as our roots are so embedded in MT it only natural
to want to keep that connection.... maybe something keeping the
initials "M***** Training" etc

Gym culture is quite good. Some people train for reasons other
then muscle (I know right!), strength, health, fat loss, some
even exercise to be the best at exercising in something called a
box!
