Yeah for some reason it just locking really bad that day. I
suspect it may be uneven but I will see if there’s anything I
can do to it next time.

Just a quick update. Despite taking a week of leave I’ve been
exceptionally busy, having the boys 5 nights, the g/f bedridden
with sickness for the week, doing all the chores and cooking and
also having to drop a gym session to take the cylinder head in
for repair after the other mob fell through. Whilst I’ve had no
time for myself I did manage to squeeze in this heavy upper
sesh. Going to put aside a day next week to just chill, provided
the car works. Finished putting it together yesterday only to
realise I forgot to bring the key! Going to pick it up today
with the g/f. Wish me luck!

So you spent all that time fixing it and haven't been able to
check if you've done it right... how confident are you? So much
for a relaxing week off tho

Easy to say now but I was quietly confident. 😁
Having no bolts left over at the end is a good sign!

With the car all but fixed and the g/f on the mend things
finally seem to be slowing down. Have the boys all weekend but
the g/f was feeling well enough to kindly keep an eye on them
for a few hours while I hit the gym and got some supplies. Just
some cleaning and a bit of food prep to do and then I’ve got the
arvo off to play Lego and PlayStation. Tomorrow we’re taking a
picnic on a big bushwalk so we’re not totally couch potatoes.
Gym today was a bit of a slow start. Very happy with how the
legs went. The hack didn’t seem to be sticking the same way as
last week so that bodes well too. Added a touch of weight here
and there for the upper. Pulldowns was a tough old slog but
managed to get +1 here but not convinced there wasn’t a little
bouncing. Inverse rows still struggling to make any progress…
maybe they’d benefit from less reps and a bit of weight?

Sounds like you have a bit of a boys afternoon planned.
Don't be too harsh on yourself for an exercise that is 9th out
of the 10 you do in a session. Especially on a leg day when
fatigue build up could be a factor... that said, I know it would
also play on my mind too.

Ended up getting the g/f out with us for some fresh air. The
hike wasn’t too taxing but with the sun out the place was
rammed. Must have been 300+ cars there. Good day out though and
stopped for a nice homemade crusty chicken roll. 😁

Pressing sesh after first day shift back. Gym wasn’t too busy
for an evening so I got through it quickly enough. Bench started
off well gaining +1. Been hovering around the pre-50kg mark for
a while but with a bit more consistency I should be back to the
50s soon enough. SP was a struggle to match reps but happy with
how engaged my core is during reps. Maybe narrow the grip a
smidge next time though? Tri ext still not my favourite but
seems to do the job.
Focused on keeping legs locked out during pull-ups which seemed
to help with the upper portion of rep strangely enough and lats
felt worked. Added a small BW set at the end to really hammer it
home. Rows were golden although last rep there was very grindy.
Legs were the clear winner as per usual making solid gains all
round.
In other news I’ve noticed a very small sore lump just under my
nipple. Noticed it last week but figured it was a bruise or
something but it still remains. It is reminiscent of the sore
nipple pain I had during my few courses of gear but I’ve not
touched that for years now. I’ve booked an appointment at the GP
just for caution.

Over 300 cars... where did you go?
Is that lump genuinely sore or just 'tender'? Ether way, no harm
it getting it peaked at and letting the doc have a cheeky feel
up.
Good session there tho, sounds like things are a bit more
dialled in right now

It’s a picnic spot in the hills. The river has a boating race in
august so it’s quite picturesque complete with waterfall.
Expected a few people but it was rammed with others actually
setting up ice cream and drink stalls on side of the road.
Admittedly I’ve not been for 10 years but it was a bit of a
shock.
It’s a sharp pain whenever I touch it. Definitely worth a check.
Thanks mate yes aside from a few delays last week and only a few
days were cals were sub par this month has been good.
