I wonder what the local residents all think seeing you set up
all your old skool, spit and sawdust garage and out door
training.... then you go slip on a nice pair of pink shoes LOL
LOL
Solid work as ever mate. Hope you don't wear the same shoes for
MA though lol
Well if you're going to be weird, be bold as well. I love my
pink shoes, if they did a brighter pinker pair, I would have got
those. I'm a bit of a mixed bag, on one hand I like heavy
lifting, fighting and or course as much T&A as possible. Then
on the other hand I like ballet, complex hair styles and ball
gowns.
They would stand out like a sore thumb at KM, my uniform is all
black. We have to either go barefoot or wear wrestling boots on
the mats, no other footwear is allowed. I can't imaging how
bad/effective a stomp kick would be with oly shoes, talk about a
bone breaker.

I love watching you lift! Even when it’s light you are a
Machine!
Do you time your rest periods? Is that a factor you actively
track? Going from 20 reps to 13 reps, I can’t see you would drop
that many reps unless rests were very short and you hadn’t
recovered sufficiently

Thanks man, that means a lot. I do track rest and keep it to 90
seconds, the only exception is if it takes me longer to setup
between lifts. I literally go from A1 to A2 to A3 with as
little pause as I can, rest 90 seconds then go again. You're
right that I'm not always ready when it's go time and if
strength was my only concern this would not be a good approach.
However, as a martial artist I do not always have the luxury of
being ready and I have found these giant sets to be very
beneficial to my fighting performance. I can keep going for
much longer now without gassing out, I can also produce powerful
shot for the entire time. That's huge and has really made a
noticeable difference.

You're not joking mate, at the time it was hell, from about rep
25 I was done and wanted to quit. I expected some crazy DOMS
today but there's nothing. High(er) rep squats are horrible,
they just suck the whole time I'm doing them but they work so
damn well. I had intended to stop the 10x5 once I hit 120kg but
that wasn't supposed to be for another 6 weeks. Therefore I
think I'll make some adjustment but will otherwise stick with
this for now.
