The ab wheel iso holds look good. As if the ab wheel wasn't
       already hard enough though lol!
       [/quote]
That's just it mate, they are not hard enough! I can bash out
high reps sets which has it's own merits but I want to progress
to the full standing rollout. Adding reps doesn't help with
this. At the moment I need to use something solid to stop me
collapsing but over time I will ween myself off this. I should
then be able to progress to negatives so on and so forth.

I stole them from someone else unfortunately. I'm messed them
up a bit today, my hands should be open and I should tough the
floor with my hands between reps. I also need to twist my foot
into the floor a bit more and get some hip rotation going.

We just can’t use bandy twisty things as a legitimate name!
I think “banded, pivoting, reverse woodchopping style fictitious
diagonal keg toss’ sounds more accurate!

So we're agreed, bandy twisty things it is. I'll be switching
these to my deadlift day though as I dont want to wear out my
awesome pink shoes. That way I can pivot without being precious.
I think rotational work like this is very important for martial
arts, it will help increase punching and kicking power but also
movement quality. If I want to suddenly change direction, then I
need strong explosive hips and legs but nothing with happen
without strong obliques to back them up.

The amount of extra power you can generate with a punch when
pivoting is incredible. It’s how Bruce Lee did his famous one
inch punch. While his fist onku moved forward an inch, his whole
body moved a lot more in that 45° arc so which meant behind his
fist he had his hips and back.
My next grade attempt I have to break a 2” board from short
       range. Looking forward to that!

I love how you are incorporating strength work into your martial
arts. You will be a heavy hitter for sure with that approach.

Timing is everything, if you can shift your weight into the
strike with perfect timing it turns an ok strike into a
knockout. I've experienced this first hand from one of the
       masters.

I'm the guy they use in demos when they want to show knockout
strikes. When I train roundhouse kicks I need 3 guys to hold
       the bag lol.
