       Agree with DV.
All that wheelbarrow work will have had some carryover I imagine
       though!

The end goal is a 500kg powerlifting total at 83kg bodyy so
unless I turn into the incredible Hulk for benching and
deadlifting, I'm gonna need to squat heavy for me.
Ordered the knee sleeves. I talked about my long limbs with
small joints, fecking Small size sleeves needed at 6ft 2 lol.

How about a squat variant? Something that is naturally lighter
like goblet squats. I'm a big fan of those as they help ingrain
a good pattern and good mechanics while generally being very
friendly. I would say the pattern is more important than load
at this time. Also I find doing some sort of hamstring training
before squats to be very beneficial. Something light but gets a
bit of a pump going on. That helps get blood into the knee
joint and I feel like I can almost sit on my hamstrings or at
       least that's how it feels.
I feel like its a common mistake to train a competition style
lift, heavy multiple times a week. I think if you want another
session with that lift it should be a similar lift, something
that mimics the pattern but it also needs to be done with
recovery for the main session in mind.

Thanks Nails, that was my thought process. Modify the routine
for a second recovery training day for that movement.
I looked into the issue and for the last month or two have been
stretching and warning calves, hamstrings and gently moving the
kneecap side to side and uo and down. Basically physio advice
       for 80 year olds lol.
Knee sleeves should arrive tomorrow which will be 1 week since
squatting last so I will see how a week if low REO squats, deads
and lighter rep squats go. It's what I'm currently doing with
bench anyway so the movement pattern is frequent.

Knee sleeves arrived so after some work at the small holding it
was time to squat. I will find out in the next couple of days if
they helped as I try and get up and down the stairs.
Absolutely roasting in the garage with sweat pouring out of me.
This is the only time that I'm jealous of air conditioned
       commercial gyms.
       Squat 120kg (1.5 X BW) 5 5 4 Fail so next session will see a 10%
drop as I attempt to pb AMRAP sets on my way back to this
       weight.
       Bench 82kg 5 5 4 Fail so next session will see a 10% drop as I
attempt to pb AMRAP sets on my way back to this weight.
Tagged on BORs, Rope pull downs and preacher curls.
Off to drink a gallon of water now.

Bloody tight but they felt like they were doing what they were
supposed to. They really did feel like everything was being kept
in line/in place knee joint wise.
This morning I haven't got the aches I normally have the morning
after. I will see tomorrow as it's always worse on the second
       day after squatting.

  HTML https://www.rehband.co.uk/rx-knee-sleeve-7mm
       Rehband RX 7mm.
Chose them over SBD as they are more geared for injury
prevention and for those with knee issues. Allowing good
movement whilst still supporting where needed. They don't
artificially help with the lifts like wraps would/ could.
Fine for competitive use which is a bonus.
