Bowness is my favourite place in the Lakes.
I must make more effort to go over!
We tend to stay in Northumberland and occasionally down to N
Yorks.

Northumberland is lovely. Such an under rated part of our
country IMO.....or the best kept secret LOL

Unfortunately 'hidden Northumberland' is no longer hidden. Lots
of tourists now, especially in the coastal towns and villages.
