Your feelings on MT closing

What are your feelings on the closing of MuscleTalk?
Although my posting was miniscule compared to the earlier 2000's
when I was glued to MT I still feel like I'm sat by the hospital
bed of an old relative waiting for them to pass away. I keep
checking to see if the forum is still there lol and I'm sure
shortly I'll click on my favourites and it will be gone. I do
genuinely feel as if something will be gone from my life of
which I was fond of. Strange as it's just an internet site and
I've actually never met anyone on MT in person.
Guess I'm getting too sentimental in my old age.

I think most of us feel the same way.
I think the most fascinating thing, is how little of my
interaction with the forum was Bodybuilding related. MT became
like an interactive daily newspaper that you'd subscribe to
because there was always something interesting and relevant. On
or off topic.
I could go days, or even weeks occasionally without checking in,
but I'd never delete the link, as I know I'd be back.
Still hoping Jason has a last minute change of heart.

Very disappointed. I have sent a strongly worded email to Jason
over this. I was also going to contact James. But, our
friendship broke down during our last heated conversation.

I am and sort of not as I can see what a burden MT has become to
him, even though I'm sure he is as gutted as anyone over the
closure.
If it does close I just hope he pops in here every now and then.

i initially thought it was a prank, to teach the kids a lesson
in not moaning about the forum being dead.. then it slowly
started to sink in that it was serious. very sad day

took it for granted and di a bit of moaning when the forum was
quiet or had forum issues . Now I look back and think I should
have been a bit more positive and supportive . Will miss it but
its not the forum I will miss to be honest its the members and
the typical tribalism of debating certain members and having
someone like Ras or Bookerman jumping in when we where debating
the like of Uriel . All good fun , if the members come this
place can be just as good.
I registered as a bodybuilder , did 18 months posting in AAS and
Diet and found my feet training wise then pretty much for 17
years its just been in general.

I feel a little sad but totally understand why Jason has had to
take the action. I've not posted much over the last couple of
years but still popped in every so often to see what was going
on. If it's costing money to run for no return it's clearly not
a business model any longer and added to the stress of the time
element he put in therefore affecting family time it's the right
decision. It's not something he's decided overnight, he's
clearly given it a lot of thought over a few months.

Pretty mich as others have said. U take it for granted, it was
always there if you wanted to search for info something. As I’ve
said previous it was my go to for literally anything as most
things had previously been posted and it was real people with no
bias. The thing you dont appreciate is the hassle it is to keep
it going. I remember not too long ago the constant troll posts
that kept appearing constantly and thinking how much of a pain
in the arse it would be to log on day after day and see that,
then have to delete them.
I hope this has a good go of it. No idea how u go about it but I
imagine getting the site to flag up on searches is a must for it
to hopefully grow. Onwards and upwards
