I watched the whole podcast the day after it came out, and
that's what made me put on my serious thinking pants for sure.

Well shit hit the fan today. Hopefully someone is keeping count
on the higher death count. Corona or media driven economic
panic. I’ll bet the economy costs more lives and they should be
       held to account.

Only getting concerned about the ages of those dying getting
       closer to my age LOL
Stockpiling is a catch 22.... I can never get any pasta or rice,
so when I can I am now buying more than 1 because next week I
probably won't be able to get it again but I am eating it not
       saving it for an apocalypse
       [/quote]
I’m not saying have a cave with 2 years worth of food in but
seriously why do you only have enough pasta and rice for a week?
Rice especially. A 5kg bag doesnt take up hardly any room and
it’s cheaper then chips. We have become too accustomed to
everything being available with a quick pop to the shops. They
teach you to always have a few months mortgage payments saved up
In case of the worst but we all just assume food will be readily
       available.
This whole scenario shows how fragile our lives really are.
Imagine this virus had a mortality rate similar to Spanish flu
of 100 years ago... people wouldn’t be fighting over TP and
pasta, they would be killing over it.
I popped to Aldi today to get some pasta.. no spaghetti,
macaroni, tagliatelle, not even the shittty shell pasta..
everything was gone... except for hundreds of boxes of lasagne
lol.. people obv don’t want to faff about making a cheese sauce
       in times of crisis!

Hey! There's nothing wrong with the shell pasta.

So disappointing just about all world football and sport is off.
Just the Bundesliga is been played behind closed doors. It
better be back in April if not everything should be behind
closed doors, the season has to finish. I have a boat load of
posh tinned sardines and fair bit rice in.

You haven't seen the tiny size of my pad. I have very little
room for bulk buying in much magnitude (I usually have 2 weeks
worth of rice)... no cupboard or storage space at all. And I am
happy to eat other things if the world really was in melt down
(lots of roughage in my sofa cushions I gather)

If it was a renewed Spanish flu we’d all have a bit more to
worry about than bloody pasta and bog roll.
People are pathetic. Annoys me to the core that they think they
could survive a proper epidemic with a few weeks of pasta and
       rice lol.
Our best line of defence is blocking national borders. Like what
they are starting to do now. Sorry but too little too late.
Fortunately it’s just a bloody flu, but if it was the Black
       Death we’d all be fvcked.

Along similar lines, if this was a test then we would have
failed miserably. Hopefully this is a learning opportunity and
we can plan for a future, far worse epidemic.
I have a couple of care homes and the information we have got
from the government and local councils is pathetic. Generic
‘work from’ home doesn’t cut it for some. I constantly read on
FB that the self employed would be harmed financially. What
about us in health and social care and the medical fields. We
are still expected to go to work and care for your loved ones
even if they are infected. Isolation just isn’t an option for
       some people.

This isn’t another of your conspiracy theories is it?
I heard the news going on about a Chinese ‘research’ vessel
being spotted off the Australian coast lol.
Conspiracy nuts had a field day.
