Have you only sought GP advice before for your back or have you
had a trusted and reputable physio style therapist have a look?
(more than likely I've asked that before)

I've seen decent physiotherapists before but it's only ever very
temporary relief. The pain always comes back and in different
areas. Currently left gluten, hip, scapula and neck. Surely
something is not right?
I'm considering a chiropractor adjustment but you hear really
mixed things and it's a minefield getting a decent one. It's £45
for the initial consultation and money is extremely tight.

My physio is £70 a session.... which is 30 mins. But he's been
worth it. I may have spent as much in a month as I have in 2
years but we're getting somewhere and he's no intention of going
beyond a couple more visits. If it's not sorted he will refer me
for medical intervention.
You just have to find a good one, preferably one experienced
with athletes if you can

As you know mate I've been going to physio for my back. First
time since I injured it 12 years ago. He does some oly lifters
and seems to know his stuff.
Has identified a weak core in me so we are addressing that.
Feeling much better.. not 100% yet but I think with time I will
be doing some variation of squat pain free. That is the long
term goal though really. He reckons 3 months.
I would recommend if you can stretch those coins. I personally
steer clear of chiros though. Not used bbut like you have heard
some horror stories from people who have nerve issues.

The real problem is though it's not just in one area and it just
floats around and never really goes away. I think I'm going to
go down the route of doctor then back pain clinic then take it
from there.
I've injured my scapula from doing pull ups and hanging leg
raises to help with my core for goodness sake. I'm sick to death
of it.

You have to do what you think is right for you mate. Most
important is that you do something.
My physio pointed out that the reason I keep re-injuring my back
is because I have learned to move in a way the protects the
injured area, essentially acting like my lower back vertibrae is
fused together. It heals but I continue to move that way getting
stronger in that way. Then I'll do something that involves more
natural movement but there is weakness there so it gets injured
again. Made alot of sense to me. Perhaps your body has learnt
something similar, to protect the injury but also leave you
vulnerable to re-injury?

That's a big jump for a chat about a lift to MRI. You need to do
what you think best for health and back.
