I think the fact that MuscleTalk will still be live and that
it's just the forum going the full name could not really be
used.

It's upto to all of us to decide stuff like this.
I personally think it's easier to read but happy to go with the
majority if people prefer the black

what is the aim of this forum from your POV as your the boss ?
Is it just a bit of MT nostalgia for old members, is it
something you want to grow and possibly end up like Jason/James?
Do you want to attract new members and go down the advertising
route ?
Do you want this forum to be passed to people in gyms word of
mouth etc or kept private. At the moment not many other tha old
members will know about it so it's probably going to be low
maintenance .

Good Question I suppose.
I have literally no aspirations for the board whatsoever. I
would be happiest if it could simply exist, in its current form
for us to simply carry on doing what we were doing on MT.
I realise that this might by a bit idealistic though, without
new members, people will get bored and drift off, and to new
members will require effort and money, so then we'd have to look
at advertising etc. This kind of progression doesn't really fit
with my aspiration, I do fear that simply "to exist" wont cut
it, and the only way to stand still, will be to grow?
The whole thing came about out of desperation, and I think
perhaps if we'd all had a bit more time to think, we'd never
have started it, and instead organised a mass migration to
someone elses forum... but in the meantime, even if this place
simply gives us more time to do that, then it will serve a
purpose at least!
Sorry if this all sounds negative to you, and that I can't offer
a fully detailed "business plan" for the forum, but we have to
be realistic I think. It is quite possible that in a months
time everyone will have stopped posting here (I hope not
though!!) So lets just see where it takes us.

I think a saving grace for this site is that there are no other
decent bodybuilding forums. They're all ghost towns. I think MT
was the busiest bodybuilding forum in the UK. That says it all.

This is indeed a factor I think, Pretty much every other MT
spin off has had to compete with MT. We don't have that, I
suppose it comes down to whether the active members of MT want
to call it a day, or carry on here under (mostly) the same mod
team and rules.
If it DOES take off, I suppose things do have to get a little
more serious, in a lot of ways.
