Hi folks!
Just a couple of things...
1) This is all still very experimental, having seen several
'upstarts' forums over the years I was curious as to what was
and wasn't possible, It appears this is free, although I
understand after 30 days we'll get clobbered with adverts, and I
wonder if it might be like one of those mobile games, that are
'free' but then a few weeks down the line you find you are going
to have to pay to use essential features? Who knows? I'd like
us to go by consensus, it might be that we all decide it would
just be easier to join another existing forum and scrap it.
2) I don't have a clue how to Admin a forum, it appear simple on
the face of it, as everything seems to be done via a simple GUI,
So far managed to change the theme and add Partyboy's logo, but
that is about it. Features will be added and tweaked as I/we
learn how to do it. My vision for this forum was a very simply
one, simple a barebones place to carry on what we were doing on
MT
So bear with us...
As for the swearing, I think as we are looking to attract as
many ex-MT people as possible, we should stick to the MT Policy?
Which I don't think was too harsh, not sure if anything gets
filtered out anyway, but I can't see anyone losing sleep over
the odd F, or C, its only when people start directing it at each
other, or use every other word that it becomes a problem.
VERY open to suggestions, but don't get upset if we don't use
them, it might just be that we haven't worked out how to do
things yet.
