Fury was virtually unknown mate.
I'm not saying AJ is amazing BTW, I'm just stating a fact.
Chisora, Haye, Hearn etc all say the same thing.

Not sure about that Newc , Fury was well known about where i'm
from, yeah the others are all about the same , but you can't put
Fury in that category. He wasnt as popular due to his looks ,
but I would say thats changed a lot now.

Who was Fury fighting before AJ was on the scene? Had he fought
Klitschko by then?

depends what you mean by on the scene, he fought Klit 12 months
before AJ did and picked up a legit title before AJ did . he
fought anyone put in front of him .
AJ on the other hand has only had one great victory in Klit who
was arguably over the hill , he beat Whyte but looked wobbly and
got destroyed by Ruiz. But fair play he won the Olympics and he
looks the part. Hes a huge puncher who could knock anyone out ,
I just cant see him doing well in scrappy boxing matches.

Ahh I thought it was earlier than that.
I'm not going to get into the better boxer or better resume
debate again mate. Fury has a terrible resume for the time he's
been boxing, same as Wilder for that matter.

Its not a good time for the heavyweight division IMO.
AJ has the better record of the top crop. Fury has a terrible
record for a 'lineal champ' Hes a 2 year bad on his record and
his last two opponents have been very low in the rankings (real
World rankings).

Who else can Fury fight ? He didn't duck Wilder . There is a
good 3-4 heavyweights out there and 2 of them have faced off
against each other .

Fury and Wilder both duck Whyte, they need to start with him for
a start, they've both had very good legitimate offers.
Apart from each other they've collectively got 2 credible other
opponents. That's absolutely ridiculous.
