if it peaks above the noise floor which is usually around -80db
then its usually audible -56db definitely would be . Id be
unplugging stuff :D
mains is 50hz , some Tv's scan at 100hz , central heating also .
when you've switched everything off you'll probably see it drop
. problem with low frequencies is that it could be coming from
somewhere else and resonating on a light fitting or radiator ,
pain in the 4rse to track down sometimes. If it stays after
everything is switched off then its either coming from outside
or a neighbour , easier if you have a detatched house.

I just tested in my own house out of curiosity doc, which I'll
call a void test because the electric oven was on as was half
the appliances in the house 🤦‍♂️
I'll 're test in the morning when it's quiet.
Probably won't get a fair reading in the house we are viewing as
well unless I start running about switching everything off.

Are the lines at a reachable height?
For example, could the kids fly a kite safely?
Also, might be worth knocking a few neighbors doors and asking
them if it has caused them any issues.

The lines are quite high 200ft at a guess, closest point to the
house and garden maybe 400-500ft distance.
Used to go kickboxing with the guy who's selling it,down to
earth guy was honest about the property, asked him about the
lines he said he's never had a problem witht them and been there
13 years.
It's ideal for what we are looking for put an offer in for it
this morning so waiting to hear back about it.
