       Living near power lines.

Looking at houses in the area for our first mortgage, looked at
       half a dozen so far.
Got my favourite so far ticks all the usual boxes, big
rooms, plenty of storage, garage, massive garden for the kids.
Only downfall is high voltage power lines not far from the
       house.
       Would you buy it?
Or do any of you live near power lines and have sprouted an
       extra toe,superpowers? 🤷‍♂️
In all seriousness just wondered if anyone has any experience
dealing with this type of thing,or looked into it yourselves for
       the same reason.
Thank you for any responses .

TBH it wouldn’t bother me. You’re surrounded by invisible
factors that are supposed to be bad for you, 5G will be the
latest. Chances are in the future most homes will have these
       things around them anyway

No wouldn't bother me at all . You would already know of your
       sensitive to it .
You have all sorts of wavelengths hitting you daily from the RF
spectrum to IR and UV , cosmic rays , microwaves etc , you
probably have a microwave transmitter in your pocket daily .
       they are an eyesore though.

Might bother me, but not for tin-hat reasons.
My friend lived close to some lines, and you could hear and even
feel the resonance of deep "buzz", he swore it wasn't always
that way, but the buzzing just kind of appeared one summer. It
was the kind of noise that you might not hear at first, but once
you did, you couldn't unhear it, and it eventually became the
       only thing he could hear!
To be fair he was very close, he virtually had the base of a
pylon within the footprint of his property, but I'd certainly
want not want to be too close, just based on spending time
       around his place.

as people get older they get more sensitive to low frequencies,
my dad lives near power lines and was convinced it was them that
were making the hum , downloaded spectroid on his mobile and
traced it down to an hard drive in his youview box , he still
hears it now even though its not there ( but this can happen
       with harmonic frequencies and infrasound)

The base of a pylon is across a main road in a farmer's field so
       pretty close.
It's the 2 kids I'm more concerned about.
Now you've mentioned that about your friend Dr z that's another
thing to consider,I'll have to stand outside his house for a
while and test the noise a bit more couldn't really hear them
       when we viewed it.
There's power lines not far from my works yard and when it's
foggy or drizzly on a morning I can hear them buzz wonder if
it's the same next to the house 🤷‍♂️
Thanks anyway for your input 👍🏻

So....I'm out in the car just dotted myself around the area in
half a dozen places under various points of the power lines
including outside the house we are interested in (one person
looked at me like I was up to no good, just leant up against my
car with the engine and lights off staring into the air) it's
       fair enough 😊
       Couldn't hear a thing,and it's drizzling 👍🏻

just sit in a silent house and download spectroid , it will give
you a full list and amplitude of low frequencies , if you do it
outside or near the pilons youll just get too much background
       noise to tell

Ok mate I'll try that, going to view the house again tomorrow at
       5pm.
How long does it take to run the test?

Downloaded spectroid doc and tried it in my own bedroom it's
       coming back at
       -56dB
       100hz
I have no idea if this is good or bad 🤔
What range would be considered as normal?
