Very best of luck in what you's are going through together
ninja,Emotional rollercoaster to say the least.
The wife and I have been through 3 rounds of ivf for different
reasons than yourself.
first time never worked,2nd time did (she's nearly 5) had to pay
for 3rd round nearly £5000 (she's 6 month) the wife was having
acupuncture weekly as well she got told it might help with
implantation.
Followed this thread from the off and I'll continue to do
so,best of luck to you both once again 👍🏻

yeah think this has cost us around £7k so far, £2k of that being
his and hers drugs and my many sperm counts lol
so you've done this 3 times and it's worked all 3 times? that's
fantastic

Expensive pal but worth it once you get there.
No it's worked 2 out of 3 times mate first attempt never worked.
This time around 5 embryos made it to 5 day blastocyst so they
put one back (which resulted in the baby we have now)
And 3 were neat enough grade A so we have them frozen so going
to be trying again next year.
Extremely fortunate it's gone so well for us I know how much of
a struggle it is going through it.

out of 16 fertilised eggs we ended up with 9 blastocysts but
only 4 of those made it to the embryo stage for freezing.
now natalie is on different drugs to get her body ready for
implantation and pregnancy which takes longer than i had than i
had thought as we're only going in this week to get that
scheduled.
so i'm pretty much out of the equation now tbh, it's all now
just down to natalie.
i'm both very excited and absolutely f0cking terrified

ok folks sorry about the delay in updating the post. tomorrow we
will be 9 weeks pregnant. had a scan on the 30th December which
confirmed there's defo a baby in there, just the one thank fo*k
tho. not told anyone at all and won't be doing so until end of
January at 12 weeks in.
one minor point is that taking 1500iu of hcg eod has fucked my
natural test levels and my doc is now monitoring me monthly
until they come back up to normal so i can't even jump on a
blo0dy cycle to feel better.
happy new year guys
Chris

when i stopped the 1500iu hcg/75iu hmg protocol i got my bloods
tested and my natural test level was 20% of what it should have
been. my doctor suggested that perhaps the high levels of hcg or
possibly the hmg had somehow rebounded and shut down my
testosterone production or suppressed it. prior to taking the
hcg/hmg I had my test levels checked as part of the infertility
checks and it was fine. I had been doing hcg at i think 250iu
eod for a couple of months prior to this but then changed to the
higher dose hcg/hmg and had been on it right up until the first
blood test which would have been around 4 months or so.
my initial testosterone reading was as i said 20% of normal, my
white blood cell count was also very low and my iron levels were
thru the roof - i have a family history of hemochromatosis so
this is not a big surprise. a couple of weeks ago i had a second
load of tests and apparently my testosterone and white blood
cell count are going in the right direction but still low. i
have 2 weeks before i am tested again.
i've pretty much no idea what's happening tbh as i thought hcg
was used to increase your testosterone production? certainly my
sperm count went from absolutely zero (due i think to M2T) up to
well above normal in the months i was taking the hcg/hmg, so it
was a bit of a surprise to find that my testosterone level was
well below normal.
hopefully i'll get a good result with the next blood test, i
could understand if i'd been taking gear but i'm not.
the important thing is that regardless of what this did to my
test levels, we managed to conceive after years of trying.
eventually my test levels will normalise and if not i'll just
start TRT as i'm not going to continue feeling sh!tty for much
longer before i lose patience and just take some test myself lol
