Anyone try carnivore?

A just edited a long story short as even I was getting bored
typing it.
Me and missus as a strategy to stop gaining fat when working
away 'accidentally' ate carnivore for about 3 months. We've been
working away like this for 4 years now and every year end up
finishing fat AF so this year we only ate meat. We still drank
at night, more often than not beer, but when possible I tried to
do hard alcohol like whiskey or rakija.
As a result we came back in pretty legit shape (by our
standards) and instead of gorging on a domino's when we get home
we went and bought a shit load of ribs - we were craving them.
Anyways, long story short we both slipped into 'normal diets'
the last few months and I've been romantically reminiscing on my
carnivore days.
I thinking of giving it a fair crack again, but this time
including organ meat and the like.
I train 5x5 3 times a week (strong lifts) and am looking to
getting back to Muay Thai and BJJ (I tore my rotator cuff so had
a year off)
I reckon I can lift with just meat but don't think my energy
would hold up in martial arts without some form of carbs so I
might go Robb Wolf and have some dextrose tabs pre training
Has anyone tried it? Any thoughts?

Was on keto eating lots of red meat but it put my cholesterol
through the roof. Weight fell off me big time though. Or should
I say the fat did.

I haven't done carnivore but have read about it/listened to a
lot of podcasts. A lot of people seem to have success turning to
it to fix health issues. If it works for you then that's great,
no one diet suitable for everyone.
I've done keto for about 18 months now to fix some health issues
and I feel great on it and even do weights without the need for
additional carbs although it may not be the best diet for high
intensity activities such as MMA. I also think that an increase
in cholesterol may not necessarily be a bad thing - plenty of
evidence to suggest that cholesterol levels may not be the bad
guy when it comes to CVD.

I'm dumb enough.
I thought the same about Keto, until I felt cornered by
Diabetes, now I am kind of hooked on it. I have tried to
re-introduce carbs a few times, and all it does it make me feel
generally crap. Initially I tried about 60g a day (just to see
how my body dealt with the carbs from a Blood sugar point of
view) ... and just felt sluggish. Then it was suggested that
this amount just put me into a grey area between ketosis and
burning carbs, so the next time I tried 150g a day ...same
thing.
So the latest attempt, I went up to 300g .. still the same, the
carbs don't make me feel awful, but just not as sharp and as
good as I feel without them.
My wife, whose conditions have been lifelong, has also seen
almost miraculous improvements in pain and inflammation since
eating this way, so despite every expert telling me its
Bullshit, I am kind of at the point where I don't really care.
... so for now, I think I'll stay on Keto.
But yes, Carnivore looks interesting, and something I could see
myself having a go at just for the hell of it, out of interest.

I know theres a few with disorders who get success with
carnivore but it wouldnt be for me .
Same as any zealot diet your going to be missing too many
essential foods , like fibre and be low on energy.

I’ve had spells on it. Always low carb/ high fat anyway but do
have dairy at times plus some veg and occasional berries. Always
feel better when just carnivore but its hard to stick to just
meat.
I follow Shawn Baker and Chris Bell who live it all the time and
rave about the results.
As with most diets its the crap you’re cutting out that also
helps.
