This is OUR forum now. It is your business! If we see things
that don’t seem right, we should say! I saw what you wrote and I

sticking loosely to the old MT way? Will we have an official
code of conduct ? We have the admins but who has ultimate say?
Maybe we could have a poll once a quarter or so and the members
elect a head honcho from the admins. Lots to think about

Couple of points.
1) Yes Bookerman, it is your Business, and its noted, pending
action
2) Leadership - (This has been an ongoing discussion in the Mod
Room)
As we are essentially looking to achieve a continuation of what
we had on MT, I though the best way forward was that MT mods
would simply resume Mod duties on here.
My vision was that we (the Mods) would run the forum by
consensus, with no one person having greater control than
others.
However, one of the Mods raised the issue of ownership.
The conundrum we have here is, that ultimately, someone has to
be responsible/accountable for the page, and in this instance,
because I registered the Forum account, that person is me. I
have no desire to be "in charge", but this is where we are.
I know its not nice to think of the negatives, but imagine, we
had a Thread naming and shaming Protein Manufacturers (I know,
Like that would ever happen!) - Now suppose our consensus of
members (or even Admins) chose to let that thread stand, Who do
you think would get the court summons? Its bad enough if the
forum is a being run as a business, but as someone doing this
for free, then much as I am for 'democracy' here, than damn
right I reserve the right to pull the plug on something like
this!
It's shit, and the complete opposite of what I really wanted,
but it is what it is. I hope you can all see where I am coming
from?
Unless anyone has any bright ideas?

I think most would be happy with the forum running along the
lines of MT.

I am still not 100% sure how much of an issue this would
actually be? As I understand things in the USA are far more
simple and there are laws to protect forum owner, with
individual members being responsible for their own postings
(those wild, crazy yanks, eh?)
Don't read this wrongly, I am suggesting this makes me "King" of
MT Lives, I still want all decisions to be made by vote, but
there has to be a point of Veto where any kind of legal
liability is concerned. I considered the idea of scrapping it
and starting again with a snide ID, but I am pretty sure they
are cleverer than that.
Its hard to be King :-\

My 2p, carry on the same values as was acceptable on OMT
(original MT) but let things evolve naturally to a point where
Mods, Dr Z and members are all relatively happy and comfortable.
We all loved OMT but it would be a mistake in trying to clone it
100%.
Edit, as much as we all enjoy General banter and journals, we
will have to put some supplement and training topics out there
otherwise this might as well be a WhatsApp group because it
won’t attract new members.
