Good to see you taking stock mate.
As you well know a good target is 1.5% loss per week. First two
weeks weight will fluctuate though, some even put on weight on
less cals!

Yes indeed.
I have no genuine expectations that I’m rigidly sticking too, so
just tracking calories and weight.
At this stage, establishing a start of a routine and some
consistency, should get me heading in the right direction.
I expected a sudden loss of a few kilos, especially considering
what I had been eating, and what I was transitioning to eating.

110.1kg this morning, which after a night of increased calories,
was a nice result.
The weekends will be hardest for me, due to a reduction in
activity, and the amount of temptation from food everywhere.

I find the first two weeks is the worst. If I can hold on for
that long the cravings seem to go away. It’s like my body
forgets what chocolate and chips tastes like lol

Cravings are a real slag! I simply just ban any of my trigger
food from the house to prevent meltdowns.

This mornings weigh in was an interesting 111.2kg.
Weekend activity was ok, but lower than my usual weekday stuff.
Yesterday I cooked a sensational roast pork dinner with the
works, and roast potatoes were abused, along with a bit of
pudding. It was bloody lovely too!
However, I have a feeling that my Wednesday/Thursday, I'll dip
under 110 and get into the 9's.
If I can continue this momentum, it will keep me on track.
I'm pondering starting some little body weight circuits at home
this week in the evenings. Press ups, squats, chair dips etc.
Just to get my body moving again and get the heart rate up.
Baby steps.

It's all about keeping moving and getting those NEAT levels up
too, it all adds up.

Amen!
My usual working day can be very mobile, or sometimes I hardly
leave the desk, so it does vary a good chunk.
Getting that NEAT up will be crucial for success, that and
staying away from trigger foods.

Good morning all, and a belated Happy New Year!!!
I hope you're all good and making gains, while being jacked and
tan.
I thought it was time for a little update from me...
I'm still alive, and actually training again with consistency. I
manged to train 3 times a week for the whole of Jan, and started
to make some psoitive progress with fitness and strength
returning, and even hot a little PB of 250kg x 10 on the belt
squat.
Things went a bit off track after this due to my old SI joint
issues flaring up... I put this down to most likely to playing 5
a side football, and not focusing on my mobility and stretching.
110kg stomping around a hard indoor court was not helping, and
there has been some discomfort since.
As a result, I've changed my training to more of a hypertrophy
approach, and going old school bodybuilding for the foreseeable
future. I'm going to focus on the things I can do pain free,
instead of the lifts that cause me pain (Deads & Squats).
No posting trunks yet mind, but hopefully something fun, and of
course, some gains would be nice.

Hey, newb, good to see you back. The joy with hypertrophy is hat
no exercise is essential so you can pick you pain free lifts and
get the job done

Exactly!
Lots of isolation stuff, and plenty of options.
I imagine I'll be called the new Dorian Yates in 6 months time.
