Only a year... bless. The novelty is still new and fresh LOL
To be at the lighter end of an opens class, mate, that's pretty
good. I do hear a lot about the ramshackle nature of most SM
(Strong 'Person') events. PL or OL might be a less stressful
route for sure. Some strong girls there also

Still fresh yes, and now paid off haha.
She was up against a few women well over 120kgs... I was dwarfed
by a couple!
Ramshackle indeed... A few key issues are kit not being
standardized, athletes warm ups being rushed or not even done,
inconsistency in reffing, and no overall federation allowing for
consistent rules and regs, oh and events being changed at the
last minute haha.
Which is why PL and WL are so attractive. The events are always
black and white, the rules are consistent, and the kit is
uniform. During the drive home we spoke about this exact thing,
and how moving to something like WL'ing would give a new lease
of life and potential avenue to explore. She has remarkably
powerful but doesn't really switch it on mentally, which is good
because she has untapped potential and tons of areas to improve.
I mean she did a 210kg yoke run in this comp and it was a
breeze!

Always a bonus, instead of in a pub car park and it's pissing
down!

Yesterday I under ate, which for me is extremely rare, but it
was simply down to being full and not wanting to really eat
anymore.
My current protocol is very simple, with no training at present
and a Monday to Friday desk based job, I'm just trying to get in
10k of steps a day and move a bit.
Calorie target is 2500 daily, and I've reverted back to a daily
fasting protocol, twinned with a keto diet simply to clear out
the system and avoid any addictive eating.
This morning I weighed in at bang on 110.5kg, which is a 4.5kg
drop since Monday! Incredible really how much water, glycogen
and actual crap was in my system!
I feel so much better physically and mentally since Monday! No
surprise really, but I'll keep riding the wave for now.
Most interesting of all though, is that last night I suddenly
had an urge to lift heavy again... I actually wanted to go and
train! Madness!

I weighed in at 110.5kg today...
The diet is failing, I'm not losing my expected kilo a day, this
is a scam, let's call the press!
In other news, I feel really good today. Physically and more
importantly, mentally. Always pick the easy wins, and today is a
win so far.

Would it not be good to weigh yourself less frequently?

Good to see you taking stock mate.
As you well know a good target is 1.5% loss per week. First two
weeks weight will fluctuate though, some even put on weight on
less cals!

It probably would, but I feel I have the mental strength to cope
with the fluctuations, and secondly, I actually enjoy it.
I’ve been tracking calories for years on MFP. While some days
are guesstimates if I’m out etc, but if I’m at home it’s pretty
accurate.
