       Chiropractor success?

Has anyone seen a chiropractor with much success? Do you rate
them higher than an osteopath or physio?

I've got the feelings over the years that a good 'whatever you
choose' should be good regardless. The better ones tend to be
well versed across more than just one therapy style and even if
not great at other practices themselves will do what they can
and refer you when needed. My current physio is phenomenal, not
cheap but really good and honest from the start

Chiropractors are quack, frauds and charlatans.
The core concept of chiropractice, “vertebral sublaxation” is
pseudo-science. Spinal manipulation is dangerous.. the term
“realignment “ is crazy. No one needs to be realigned.
You need to find a good physiotherapist. NHS would be best as
they are forced to keep up to date with current scientific
findings. But it’s hit and miss with them and their can be a
       wait.
A good physio would not want to see you come back. If they don’t
give you exercises to do at home and want to see you every 2
       weeks, run.
Also they are not trying to correct the issue, but working on
the cause (which is usually up or down stream).
My back issues were caused by hips twisting. Soon as we worked
on hip flexor strengthening, back issues were virtually non
existent. Same as my knee. My quads had massive strength
imbalances.. some single work to address this helped with the
       issue.

What Animal said really, however you will have better alignment
from balancing out your movement patterns and muscle imbalances
if look at your ankles, knees, hips, shoulders from the side.
Dumbbell work and single leg work is a huge part of what I do.
Have have a look at Egoscue and grey cook stuff.

I was thinking about this the other day, after someone suggested
again that I go to the chiro.
The missus, father in law both go to the chiro to get 'cracked'
every few weeks. They seem to think it helps, as does a lot of
       people.
But then they get sore again and have to go back in. Clearly not
fixing the issue. Does make me wonder though what that initial
'freed up' feeling is and how it feels better when it's not?

I watched a few videos on YouTube, initially ones to stretch and
then ones to strengthen the area. I found some good ones from
Jeff Ethier and tweaked them a little bit to suit me better. I'm
just talking about scapula injuries I had.
