Wrastling - AEW to challenge WWE????

Right time to post some random general BS.
So this AEW are making quite the noise lately with their new
upstart company. Owner loaded and wrestlers bailing on WWE with
the hope of a new start in a company that will be run the way
WWE used to be. I.e. the wrestlers getting a say in developing
their own characters etc whereas WWE has a staff of script
writers and a crazy old man telling them what to say and what’s
see as cool.
Not watched it in ages but hopeful we may see a bit of a return
to the Monday night wars which brings the best out of both
companies.
*edit*
I know it’s for kids and lame and all that.

Haven't followed it for years now... not sure if it's just not
as good or it's just that the names of old not being there make
it less appealing. Not seen any other fed take off in the way
WWE has always sustained and the overheads must be extortionate
As a side note I did watch that Fighting in the Family film
which was quite an interesting watch (I know it's not a docu but
the end clips with the real family showed them being very much
how they were portrayed in the film)

Is that the thing the Rock appears in DV? I think its based on
that female wrestler Paige. English goth looking chick

That's the one.... the clips you have seen with the rock is
pretty much 99% of when he appears in the film, he doesn't do
much, it's mainly about her, yes, Paige, from Norfolk.

I tried to watch it a few months back, but I just don't really
"get it" any more. The last time I watched and enjoyed it, it
was all Stone Cold, The Undertaker, Goldberg etc, but now, I
don't know? It all just seems so sanitised now?
Maybe I just caught a bad few weeks?

Nah it is generally viewed even by die hard fans as pure crap
now. Hence the reason there is big interest behind this new one.

Ive followed it since they talked about it, all the build up
etc.
All I can say is Double or Nothing was the first time I felt
like a kid watching wrestling again, it was fucking great, and
absolutely showed up how shit WWE is these days. And all from in
ring guys I dont really know.
The money is there, the TV deals are getting there, some
production work, and, JR on mic.
Also, the WWE stuff is in no fault to the Scrip writers and
wrestlers, they are all coming up with great ideas, its Vince,
its all Vince, he fucking up every creative move and changing
his mind at the last minute.
A lot of reports saying HHH is going fucking mad trying to get
things on track.

Pretty much yeah. I listened to Jerichos podcast with Dean
Ambrose (Mox I think he’s called now) today. He really layed
into Vince and WWE. Bear in mind his missus still works there
but he certainly aint going out his way to protect her.

Its very telling when the "surprise" entrance from Mox at the
end and the place erupted. This is a guy that WWE didnt have any
ideas for and basically binned him off, to getting a standing
cheer at AEW.
