       Buying bitcoin
By: Bookerman Date: June 22, 2019, 3:02 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I think I asked this before on the old forum but never quite
figured it out. Obviously cant check back the posts.
Anyone buy it and what sites do you use? I have recently gone to
register with coinbase but they want employer name and then a
copy of photo ID. Is this normal for them all?

I did it once. Had to upload a photo of my driving licence. I've
always felt a bit uneasy about it ever since.

I have read that u give your ID so the powers that be know u are
buying it but they do not know how u spend it. Not what it used
       to be.
I see the value has topped £10,000 this week. When people buy it
is it simply by getting them through one of these websites and
       holding them?

If you just want exposure to bitcoin then speadbet. However id
suggest that you don't, its extremely volatile and quite a
       gamble.

I used coin base for mine. Seems OK. But initially I used
another company and then transfered to coin base. I tried to buy
when they were very cheap, this was when people thought it was
fake, but my purchase failed, how I laugh now!

Tell me about it. I’ve been intending to do it for years and
never quite got it done. Oh what could have been lol. Then again
it wasn’t for investing, more just to buy “things” 😄

Probably because they want to clamp down on CGT, it's insane one
persons gains are another person's losses , but the government
want a cut on the gains but will shrug there shoulders when
       people loose.
If your not buying them to actually use for transactions then
taking positions like TP says is better , let someone else have
all the hassle . You can also take positions on the other
million different crytos there are Etoro is pretty good
