But what about the alarmingly high number of trans gender people
who end up regretting it and are left destroyed?
What about them? Are you bothered either way?
Well as I have a close relative who is transgender, Yes, Yes I
am.
My post was in response to points raised by Kitty. If people
are changing there sex and then regretting it, then in some it
could indeed be a mental condition IMO
Well that's fair enough then, so I'm sorry for presuming it
wouldn't directly affect you.
Still, a sex change is a huge thing to undergo, I don't think
that the surgeons who carry them out do them without any care.
They would be making sure the patient has gone through several
counselling and therapy sessions beforehand to make sure that
they are making the right decision. If they change there mind
after the operation, then I'm afraid that just happens. You
can't avoid things like that sometimes.

The problem is when it's law or policy and you have to comply.
It should be a personal choice like it's a personal choice to be
follow a faith or not to.
It's a belief that someone is zee zat twat or whatever. It's not
a fact. Your genetics define what you are. I would play along
with the game they want to play but I won't be told I have to
play the game.

I would only play the game of calling a man a woman or a woman a
man. I wouldn't comply with calling man a horse or a tree. Or
that zee zat nonsense.

The law on the curriculum isn’t there to make you comply though.
It’s there to educate and make children aware of other beliefs
and opinions. The kids are still free to make up there own mind
after.

I certainly don't think you can say a male identifying as a
female and vice versa are mentally ill. It can't be as simple as
that especially when someone as young as 4 feels they're "in the
wrong body".
I would call it a mental illness , in there heads they believe
they are trapped in the wrong body , how can that be anything
other than a mental defect ? I don't mean this with a negative
connotation , but would you treat someone who believed they
where a fish and they were trapped in the wrong body with the
same sympathy ?
Homer when i said atheist i didn't mean the devout atheist ,
just not religious , if I see something that changes my mind I
will .
spirit word/matrix /DMT I am wide open to the belief that there
is something to all of that as i've experienced it , its
certainly not earth like!

TBH its no wonder kids are messed up these days.
Schools teach religion, well the legal bits anyway.
Homosexuality is a sin etc.
Then teach that Homosexuality is fine, trans gender fine and all
modern methods of thinking are OK.
They do this at a young age too.
Then ask kids to make their own minds up while being fed
conflicting information.

You went to a religious school Doc, so of course they are going
to go against your athiest views. It still didn't hold you back
though did it? You have a good career. You say that you made up
your own mind, but many you know didn't - how arrogant does that
sound? Just because they made a decision different to you, you
feel as if it was forced on them, maybe they were happy to have
the same views as the school was teaching. Your now trying to
enforce your views/beliefs on someone else, which is exactly the
same.
I dont think it sounds arrogant at all , by trade im an
engineer, i solve problems based on faults and how to fix them ,
used evidence , process of elimination , research , learning how
things work. There has never once been a divine intervention
where my work has been completed for me by some deity. Not one
of my prayers has been answered, we have famine, wars, peado
rings, satanists . there is just no evidence for god and
therefore I came to my own conclusion that i was probably an
atheist or at least agnostic. I reckon you where thinking that
because people didnt come to the same conclusion as me that i
think they are dumb. well that's just not true . There is an
argument for god ( god of the gaps) but this just erodes as time
goes on , but if some people truly believe in god based on faith
or they can feel it or there must be something then I can fully
understand that.
If someone asked where all the matter and energy in the known
universe came from to cause the big bang then i think god would
probably be a good answer , you cant have something from nothing
and yet we do , but if god created the matter and energy then
who created god infinitum.

Whats the third gender called?
Whatever you want to call it, it's just a label that some people
will feel happy to associate with, Genger has nothing to do with
the make or female chromosome. The last I checked I think there
were over 30.

There are 3 basic sciences. Your profession is based on simple
physics. There's then the chemistry and the biology and combined
biochemistry. I truly believe that something is going on
biologically within transgender and as we know the hormonal
system is the body's chemistry. As I mentioned about my
transgender friend, her testosterone was very low, something
different to a mental issue was going on in her body IMO.
There's a chemical imbalance at play for her for sure. So my
theory as I stated earlier, is this is possibly evolution
playing out right before our eyes!!
