That's the problem with today's society (or at least the
mainstream media). You aren't happy with the influx of asylum
seekers coming into the country. You must be a racist. You don't
believe in a third gender. You must be homophobic. Where does it
end? I sincerely think that in the not too distant future
paedofiles will be next on the agenda to save. After all it's
not their fault. They were born like that. Apparently.

Facts dont care about your feelings, hes right , if the same
school teaches biology then its will contradict itself .
This is ideological subversion , hes right to be an 'arse' as
you put it . Unless your a fan of being brainwashed.
Schools also teach physics alongside religious studies, which
contradict each other. No one is being brainwashed. It’s called
education, people are taught what the curriculum specifies and
then we believe what we want to believe. I’m presuming you were
educated in the UK, yet somehow you weren’t brainwashed, so
therefore the system is fine.
Have you seen the news recently, with the Muslim parents
protesting outside the Birmingham school? All because of claims
that their children are being brainwashed into being told that
same sex parents are ok. Making a massive deal out of it, it’s
shameful. You are basically the same as them if you feel like
this gender fluid acceptance in school is just more
brainwashing. What if your child decided they wanted to be
gender fluid? How would you deal with it then?
Just for the record, I only believe in 2 genders, I don’t
believe in this 3rd gender stuff either. I believe in science -
male, female and that’s it. However, it is still up to other
people what they want to believe, and I have no problem with
anyone who wants to believe otherwise. What I don’t like is
people arguing about it all the time, going round in circles,
and getting nowhere. The problem is when people don’t respect
each other’s opinions. Just agree to disagree, and move on.
The kid was acting like an arse, his opinion is fine, but why
make a big deal out of it.
Teaching religion is learning people about a belief system ,
they do not tell you you have to believe in that belief system ,
Physics is based on evidence , the two are completely different
and do not contradict in any way , but to teach people there are
more than two sexes isnt factual. I was taught in the UK and yes
they attempted to brainwash me with Labour politics/socialism
being a good thing and how i had to be a christian and I was
given lines for being an athiest because i was a forced church
go er( they have relaxed this stance a lot it seems in the last
couple of decades) but as an engineer/problem solver I made u my
own mind , but many I know didnt.
In the muslim faith they don't accept same sex marriages ,
school teach that its acceptable , this is an opinion based on a
belief system , they are both entitled to there own opinion ,
however there are only two sexes , teaching something different
goes against human biology as we know it , peole thinking they
are genderfluid is a mental illness , no different from someone
thinking they are a horse. This isn't a belief system its
science, if they want to use that belief system to run their
lives then its fine , but they are ignoring the facts /science
and human evolution.
My cousin is a trans boy now girl ,hes obviously mentally ill ,
he has aspergers and an IQ of 160 , he knows the science better
than anyone but he still knowingly chooses to ignore it , he
realises its a mental illness just like body dysmorphia /
dysphoria , If he wants to have the appearance of a girl and
live his life as a girl I fully support him but hes still a male
, you cant change his hormones , body make up , chromosomes and
the fact hes gone through male puberty and currently has a cock
and balls , taking exogenous hormones and genital mutilation
wont make him a female , there isnt one trans person that can
reproduce children in there new sex role , they can only do it
in there birth assigned gender and even if they could they would
still be classed as either male or female .
Castor Semenya is a good one for debate , thats about the only
time i would entertain that there is a grey area , but its not a
new sex , its just that she has a male body , female genitals /
some male genitalia but this is more of a birth defect rather
than trans people being able to say "there are more than two
sexes"
They treated her very badly too imo , fellow athletes and the
IAAF , forced her to take test blockers which is completely
wrong , but can sympathise with her fellow athletes saying shes
pretty much a man as far as sports go. Thats a tricky one!

Great post doc and yeah the castor semenya situation is the only
real mix of male and female but its still not this genderfluid
madness. If she has a x and y chromosome she is a man for me
regardless of anything else. What is also worrying is parents
raising their children in the genderfluid way. If a child is
born a male you have assume that person is indeed a male and
should be raised and treated as male. There is nothing wrong
with playing along with someone who is genderfluid. A have no
problem with someone who is man but wants to be addressed as
women. No skin off my nose, but it shouldn't be legal obligation
or law. It should be a choice for us to play along if we want.

totally agree muscle , its not hate speech because you call a
spade a spade , this is when subversion has been completed when
people will discard there own thoughts and replace them with
other peoples rules whether they make sense or not .
Hate speech is a massively powerful political tool to beat us up
with , make us feel bad and unsympathetic , I am along the lines
of Peterson/shapiro when it comes to calling a spade a spade.

I didn't disagree with anyone that there were only 2 sexes, that
is a fact. My point is everyone thinks they have a right to kick
off about something when it doesn't really make a difference to
them. Let people believe what they want to believe, it does
matter to me. As long as they aren't causing any harm then why
should it matter.
Schools are having to be more open minded because children are
wanting to be more open minded about things, if some kid wants
to identify as being gender fluid, then why do I care? It
doesn't affect me. Kids make up there own minds anyway,
regardless of what they are 'forced' to think.
There is a boy who presents a music channel on cbbc, who is
clearly either gender fluid or who identifies as a girl. My son,
who is 7, goes 'that boys got make-up on!' every time he comes
on the TV. What should I say back to him? If I start slagging
the lad off and calling him a puff or a weirdo what does that
teach him? How to be a bully? All I say is 'some boys like to
wear make up and dress like women that's all' He simply replies,
'well that's weird!' and then he changes the channel as he
doesn't like to see it. I haven't forced him to agree with it,
and I didn't force him to be against it either. He made up his
own mind, there and then.
I don't agree with parents raising there children in the gender
fluid way, those people are just twats trying to do it for
attention, like Russel Brand for example, he's one of them
parents, but the reason why he states things like that is so
that he gets paid to do an interview on the topic. In general
though, I'm guessing the proportion of parents who do want to
raise there children that way is tiny, probably less than 1%, so
who really cares?
You went to a religious school Doc, so of course they are going
to go against your athiest views. It still didn't hold you back
though did it? You have a good career. You say that you made up
your own mind, but many you know didn't - how arrogant does that
sound? Just because they made a decision different to you, you
feel as if it was forced on them, maybe they were happy to have
the same views as the school was teaching. Your now trying to
enforce your views/beliefs on someone else, which is exactly the
same.
I used to be athiest, I was very anti religion, I used to have
the opinion that it did more harm than good, and I still do
think that at times. However, I have changed my stance in the
last few years, I am now just not religious. It is far easier to
let people believe what they want to believe, just as long as it
is not causing anyone else harm, and they shouldn't feel as if
they have the right to enforce their beliefs on someone else.

I certainly don't think you can say a male identifying as a
female and vice versa are mentally ill. It can't be as simple as
that especially when someone as young as 4 feels they're "in the
wrong body".
I have a transgender friend, she has 2 kids and still calls
herself a Dad! Her kids either call her Dad or Emma.
Have you ever considered that this could be a type of Evolution?
For those like me that believe in science over religion maybe we
are evolving to be one gender? If the world is still around in a
few thousands years we could well be procreating without
intercourse. Perhaps those of us in a heterosexual relationship
and clear on what gender we are, are the ones who are behind
with our development.
Personally I prefer to get to know a person before being
judgemental over their appearance. Yes there may be a fleeting
thought of surprise/shock/disbelief but the real person lies
inside, not on the outside. My friend is verbally abused every
single day by strangers. What gives them the right to judge her?
It's pure ignorance and ill-mannered. If you don't like that
someone chooses to dress the way they do, be the gender they
choose and they are not affecting your life then let them carry
on. Respect their decision. Perhaps try strike up a conversation
with them, my friend would welcome a chat with anyone curious
about her as I'm sure many other transgender people would.

Well as I have a close relative who is transgender, Yes, Yes I
am.
My post was in response to points raised by Kitty. If people
are changing there sex and then regretting it, then in some it
could indeed be a mental condition IMO

Of course there will always be exceptions. Maybe they're gay but
think therefore they need to be the opposite gender rather than
just be gay? Or perhaps they're more transvestite than
transexual, there's a huge difference between the two. Therapy
will help sort that out to some extent. Interesting with my
friend is her testosterone levels were very low, her and her
wife struggled to conceive so maybe for her and many there is a
biological reason behind it.
