Top Gear

The new series started last night with Paddy McGuinness and
Freddy Flintoff. I have to say, I really liked it. The chemistry
was there and it felt natural and less scripted than it has for
a long time.

I haven't watched it for years, I might give it another try now
they've got Freddy and Paddy on it.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed it. I don't watch it thinking I'm watching
a motoring show, and no-one should nowadays, the comedy and
banter did seem a bit more honest, which I expect more of with
Freddy and Paddy hopefully, and with any luck it will all be
more prompted than scripted.
I don't envisage much motoring insights which if they are really
bad at it may be a bit much considering it's motoring magazine
origins, but I'm happy enough assuming it's a bunch of lads,
doing laddish things and being daft with some cool cars.
I did like the cars last night. Paddy's escort was awesome

Watched this last night, I was impressed. All 3 of them had a
good rapport and banter was pretty good. Paddy is a just
naturally funny which is what it needed. You can tell some of
the banter is still scripted but they got away with it so far.
Tbh, I hated the scripted comedy even when Clarkson, Hammond and
May did it, they were terrible at making it look natural, I used
to cringe watching them 3. I used to skip the news, star in a
reasonably priced car and the other bullshit, only found the
challenges worth watching.
Paddy's Escort was a beauty, I love old Fords. My dream one day
is to own an Mk1/Mk2 Escort or Capri. I might have to have a
look on SA ebay for one, bargain at £2100! I wonder how much the
import costs were?

Thought this was pretty good, some genuinely amusing moments and
love that they've cut all the crap segments that nobody was
interested in anyway.

Thoughts on people saying that they are bullying Chris Harris?

What people are saying that? Is this some behinds the scenes
expose, or casual viewers? It is still scripted/prompted so any
p!ss taking and so called bullying is just acted out banter

If you search TopGear on twitter, its what loads of people are
saying. Infact, before you even finish typing it, 'Top gear
bullying' pops up.

Haven’t watched it but would be surprised if its bullying in
this day and age. However these dogooders will get the Chris
fella tagged with this no doubt and the Top Gear audience will
go off him. Unintended consequences

OK, so it's casual viewers of a snowflake disposition not liking
that the show has 2 taller guys and 1 shorter (less athletic)
guy so they make height gags. Ignoring the fact that he also
makes jokes at their expense and that they all take it in their
stride as SCRIPTED BANTER.
That's quite sad... like the original TG crew never took the
pi55 out of each other
