       The current US administration has been actively undermining the
       public willingness to accept vaccines as an effective
       disease-prevention measure, and these anti-vax efforts are
       already having alarming results--such as a marked increase in
       the number of measles cases.
       I was a child before there was a measles vaccine. My mother saw
       her three older children through simultaneous cases of measles
       but my sister nearly died of it. I had measles too, with a fever
       of 105'. Measles is often a very serious disease and can be
       fatal. And yet there is this report (New England Journal of
       Medicine, July 15, 2026):
       "A Regional Measles Outbreak--South Carolina, 2025-2026"
