       A phlebotomist would still be needed to stand by and monitor the
       device. Does anyone besides me wonder why this robotic device is
       desirable?  Oh yes, sometimes it does a better job. Maybe it's
       less expensive to maintain than a human phlebotomist?
       The article states that there is a growing shortage of trained
       phlebotomists. That must be the reason. But sometimes it looks
       as if we humans are all too eager to adopt the latest
       technological marvel just because it's there.
