       Trash cans evaluated (Consumer Reports)

Every day most of us copes with a trash can, most likely. Maybe
several times a day. Maybe we're in a hurry and become irritated
at trash cans that don't open or close easily.
I do, anyway. Just now I'm moderately happy with my two trash
cans but I sympathize with anyone who is looking for a better
one--because there are some mighty pricey ones out there
       nowadays.
I'm partial to a pedal-open trash can but haven't tried the
newer (pricier!) sensor-open ones. It's hard to lean over to
open a trash can lid, but the pedal-open feature works for me.
My feet can often bail me out in situations where my hands and
       arms aren't working well.
Anyway, this article in Consumer Reports (August 5) discusses
several types of trash cans, and some of them aren't
       ridiculously expensive.

I am able to see the article in its entirety because I subscribe
to the online version of Consumer Reports and am hoping that the
link above will enable other readers to see all of it as well.
