       Transmissible type of cancer may have been found in catfish

       A bit of a digression here. I dislike catfish though I've never
       eaten any. I just had more than enough of them everywhere when I
       was a child. They were on every restaurant menu. They were what
       local fishermen often caught. This was in the south, where
       catfish is highly prized by many.
       To me, they are bottom feeders. They have no scales and look
       weird. They have whiskers that make them look even weirder. And
       there they often were in the rivers where I was swimming--often
       just there, near the bottom, lurking, with their whiskers
       hanging down.
       So I was interested to learn that there is a type of catfish
       that people might want to avoid eating, at least for now.
