(MSAA) Dizziness and vertigo

My first MS symptom may have been a severe episode of vertigo
when I was 20, causing me to have a face-forward fall where I
knocked out four front teeth. Since then I've had only a few
much milder episodes but when I was diagnosed, I was found to
have a brainstem lesion in the pons region. Vertigo is a very
dangerous and unpleasant symptom to have, and it looks as if
it's still being studied.

Dizziness and Vertigo":

The article includes this statement:

person’s perception of their position in space, especially in
the dark or on uneven ground. In such circumstances, dizziness
may increase the risk of falling.
Since I
moved to this apartment 15 years ago, I've noticed that it is
almost impossible for me to walk in the back yard right outside,
though I sometimes have to do so. It is very uneven
terrain--rocks, treeroots, sprinkler heads, and unexpected
hollows and dips. I feel something close to vertigo if I try to
walk on such a surface, and my rollator and wheelchair wouldn't
be up to coping with it.
