(AAN abst.) [Early high-efficacy DMT vs. early low-efficacy DMT
in a cohort of PwMS]

These researchers took a group of people with MS between the
ages of 12 and 50 and, testing early initiation of
disease-modifying therapy, treated some with high-efficacy DMTs
and some with low-efficacy DMTs. The aim was to find out whether
the high-efficacy DMTs might work better than the low-efficacy
DMTs at delaying progression and disability accumulation. They
found that there was no difference.
Presented at the AAN conference this month--"Risk of progression
independent of relapse activity [PIRA] and disability
accumulation in a real-world cohort of multiple sclerosis
patients initiated on high-efficacy vs. low-efficacy
disease-modifying therapy":
