       In school we were taught that there are always checks on the
       executive branch of the US government. Currently the executive
       is on a very long leash indeed, or maybe on no leash at all but
       we just think there's one.
       However, the market isn't doing so well and is showing how
       volatile the US economy is just now. The shaky stock market just
       might succeed in accomplishing what the opposition in Congress
       has so far failed to do--curb this dangerous attempt at a vast
       expansion of the executive power in our government.
