       Measles

Measles might be making a comeback.
When I was a child, there was no measles vaccine. You expected
to get measles. I did, and ran a fever of 105'. My sister did
and nearly died of mastoiditis that was a complication of
       measles.
Some years ago there was an idea floating around about a latent
form of measles as a possible cause of MS. This theory has been
discredited, but the article below indicates how this idea must
have started--measles can lie dormant for years in a person's
body and can cause a fatal neurological disorder, subacute
       sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE).
