These investigators studied case reports and determined that
these two types of MS drugs cause certain adverse side effects
and suggest that the side effects may be related to the
immunomodulatory effect of the medication.
--Which is about where we were some 20 years ago. Not much is
known about just what causes the side effects of these
frequently prescribed MS drugs, glatiramer acetate (Copaxone,
Glatopa) and interferon beta-1a (Avonex, Rebif).
