       Stem cell medical tourism leads to meningitis in MS patient

       The patient recovered but the article points out the dangers of
       choosing stem cell treatments from sources that aren't known to
       be safe.
       This statement in the article needs some editing, IMO:
       [quote]In addition, drugs to treat MS are immunosuppressive, and
       should not be used during an active chronic infection, Pastula
       pointed out.[/quote]
       It's my understanding that some drugs to treat MS are
       immunosuppressive but many of them are immunomodulatory. There
       is an important difference.
