Best frozen meals from Consumer Reports' tests

The ability to fix our own food is one of the most important
skills I can think of. And one feature of institutional living
(nursing homes, assisted living) that seems to be universally
disliked is having to eat what is served when it is served.
So, hoping to avoid institutional living, I'm always on the
lookout for ways to keep on fixing my own food. For many years I
made meals from scratch and frozen individual servings of each
recipe, whether it was chili, spaghetti, lasagna, or just
refried beans. Then all of the chopping and peeling and slicing
got to seem like too much of a chore.
I looked around until I found some edible frozen meals that
tasted OK. I've been eating mostly those frozen meals for the
last 15 years or so. But I'm always on the lookout for more
variety though, and this article gives a few suggestions that
even a vegetarian can use.
