       Masitinib OK'd for Phase 3 trial--for progressive types of MS

       Masitinib is entering Phase 3 trials and is said to be for
       persons with PPMS and "non-active SPMS," which apparently means
       having no active MRI lesions. Other recent drugs that have been
       said to be for SPMS have turned out to be for SPMS if the person
       still has relapses, but it looks as if masitinib will be for all
       forms of SPMS (as well as PPMS).
