An informative news story about Ocrevus from McGill University
in Canada (May 11, 2018), "Developing the first effective drug
for progressive MS":

This part is something I haven't seen mentioned much elsewhere:
It should be noted that clinical data came from
patients between the ages of 18 and 55.
“It’s not clear how well ocrelizumab works in older
people who have had progressive multiple sclerosis for a long
time,” cautions Dr. Arnold [a neurologist who worked in the
development of ocrelizumab], adding that research
continues.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada notes that
“the safety and efficacy of ocrelizumab outside of the age range
of 18 to 55 is unknown.” The Society advises older patients who
are interested in ocrelizumab to consult their
neurologist.
