Life Biography((250 Words Minimum)): This is the story of my
life:
27th of July, 1963- one summer’s night was when I was born. My
mother described it quite clearly. It was hot, around 28
degrees, the air was stuffy, clingy with moisture and stuffy. I
was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. My mother was a
Wudangquan Grandmaster by the name of Bow- Sim Mark. My father
was a newspaper editor by the name of Klyster Yen and he worked
at the local paper which was called the Guangzhou local news.
First few years
My first few years as a teenager could be described as ‘normal’
and uninteresting by some people but to me, this was the most
important years of my whole life, before I started taking up
Martial Arts. Spent like any other toddler, were the times of
bonding and forming a relationship with my beautiful mother.
There were countless days when my mother took me in my pram,
strolling in parks and shopping centres, feeding me, caring for
me and taking me into the daring new world that I had just
entered.
The meaning of life
By the age of 4, I knew how to talk and walk and I am told that
I was an “annoying and horrible little monster that just wanted
to know more and more about life”. I was beginning to understand
the concepts of life and death.
My father was constantly away at work when I started school. My
mother self-tutored me and I was settling into primary school
very easily and my teacher described me as a “interesting little
child that is a natural born athlete”.
Due to my father and his work, I began to separate from him and
look up to my mother for support and I saw her as my role-model.
I frequently attended her class, where she was a teacher at Wing
Fay’s school.
Boston
When I turned 11 years of age, we moved to Boston,
Massachusetts, United States to start a new and ‘better’ life.
But as I saw as an eleven year old that this new place was not
as good as the place that I once called home. I lost all my new
friends and at my age, I didn’t know how to speak English very
well. But as time passed, I learnt and discovered a new and
wonderful world of ‘Kung Fu’.
Kung Fu
I took up Kung Fu at an age of 12 and experimented with
different types of martial arts including WuShu, Taekwondo, kick
boxing, Muai Thai, karate and Wing Chun. I started getting
serious about martial arts when I was 14 and won an
international WuShu tournament. But, despite that, I began to
feel the love of one particular type of Chinese martial arts:
Wing Chun.
Soon, I became entranced with martial arts and trained every day
for 5 hours straight. I became less conscious about my education
and dropped out of school to practice my martial arts.
Due to my low levels of education, I started to do part-time odd
jobs as a mechanic, taxi driver, truck driver and due to my
defensive skills- a body guard.
The nightmare- Los Santos
When I was 19, I decided it was time to move on and I migrated
to Los Santos. This new place was a new beginning just like when
I moved to Boston, but this new place was just a nightmare.
Every day it was havoc and chaos. Crime sprees everywhere, every
day, murders 24/7 and not enough cops to deal with it.
Peace
So, because of this, I moved to Tierra Robada- specifically, a
medium populated area called Bayside. It has now been 2
years...This place was much more peaceful and there were never
massive crime sprees and such. I felt like it was experiencing a
heaven without death. I hope that this place will not become
like Los Santos and therefore I want to be there to protect it
with my life if necessary, so that the citizens of Bayside will
continue to live in prosperity.
Leaving Tierra Robada
After a year or so of hard working, I didn't manage to get work
at Bayside or any other places in Tierra Robada. This left me no
choice but to leave the place. It was one of the hardest
decisions of my life since I swore to live there until I had a
family. But I returned to Los Santos and the nasty crime of the
city. I realised that instead of running away from my troubles,
I needed to fight it and be brave. So I promised myself I would
help fight the crime of the city and restore peace and posperity
to the place.
My future
I think that my Kung Fu will come in handy one day in the career
that I hope to achieve.
