Because it was Microsoft who started everything. From MS-Dos
using CLI to GUI and to what we are using in the present
generation.
The people in the past anticipate on what will Microsoft
release. When people knew how it is used, they found it
convenient so, as the time goes by, the new versions of MS
Office was anticipaed by millions of people. They focused on
what they used, not looking around for another things to be
used.

windows po ung andun wala pong libre office na naka install so
talga pong hindi makikilala ng mga tao ang libre office ;D

because most computer and laptop here in the Philippines run by
microsoft system . thats why it is popular here . and microsoft
is more handy than the environment of libre office.

because microsoft is more popular than ubuntu. as I said some
laptop or desktop already have microsoft in their system ^^ And
I think that nobody endorse ubuntu ..that is why ubuntu is not
popular xD

Because windows' were widely introduced to market and the
mainstream was originally on them. At the first place, Ubuntu
was made because of the defying of a bill. And we, millenials
will go on what's flexible and will fit on our taste.
LibreOffice offers limited but safe experience which is opposite
to Microsoft Office. But, the first time that we explore on the
computer, Microsoft Office was our first, so our dependability
goes for them.

Ubuntu did not focusing in advertising their own software,
unlike windows, that has a extent advertisement in market, even
smartphones are covered. And it said that Ubuntu means "humanity
to others" so I think Ubuntu doesn't have plans to compete with
windows.

The main reason why libre office is not popular than microsoft
office is because it is not being commercialized. Most brand new
computers have Windows asits default operating system thus
consumers are obliged to use microsoft office. Not realizing
that both software has almost the same purpose in terms of
making or customizing documents.

It is because of money. Big advertisement companies advertise
those who pay them. We can observe that, that when we buy laptop
or PC, Microsoft is already installed. Meanwhile, LibreOffice is
free. But I support LibreOffice, I'm not a hater of it.
