well based on what i have read Libre office is free and open
source office suite but MS office is not an open source. Libre
office is free to everyone that want and need it but MS office
have charges to be paid before using it(well it can be used for
free but for 30days trial only) . Lastly Libre office has 111
languages but ms office has 96 languages and other language can
be used or something like that upon purchase

i think the difference between of Libre Office and Microsoft
Office based on my experience are the following.
       1. Microsoft Office is easy to use because the options are easy
to find while Libre Office is not.
       2. Libre Office can download all the types of office while
Microsoft Office is not because you can download it per type of
it. For example, you can only download the MS Word.
       3. The nature of these two are also different.
       4. In the Calc Spreadsheet when you print it, it has a number of
       sheet and page number.

       1. Difference in Web browsing and email. LibreOffice is Firefox
Web Browser by default and Evolution email client by default
while MS Office is Internet Explorer Web browser by default and
       Outlook email client at default.
       2. Difference in Word Processing. LibreOffice is Openservice.org
suite, while MS Office is wordpad by default.
       3. Difference in in costs. LibreOffice is free of licensing
charges while MS Office is Charges per user license and/or for a
       fixed term.

One of the key requirements for any software suite that aims to
challenge Microsoft Office's dominance is that it allows users
to open, edit and save documents in Office formats so that they
can work alongside the majority of the rest of the world that
still uses Office. (Office supports the international standard
Open Document Format (ODF) as well as its own Office formats,
but Meeks says its support for ODF is "woeful," and some Office
features are not compatible with the open formats.)
In fact, LibreOffice users have found that the software is not
always able to present Microsoft-formatted documents identically
to the way that they would be formatted if they had been created
natively in the appropriate Office application, but Meeks
suggests that this is not a frequent problem. He also dismisses
the idea that Office users may have a problem opening files
created in LibreOffice and saved in a Microsoft format.

microsoft office is yung libreoffice lang yung nakakgawa ng
powerpoint something ? then yung Ms Office naman yung nakakagawa
       ng mailings etc.
       [/quote]
libreoffice can do, what ms office can do :)
