Nope. What happened was some guy misread the Mayan calendar,
which said there was going to be a spiritual rebirth, not the
apocalypse. But the Mayan calendar didn't include leap years, so
technically the spiritual rebirth-thing would have occurred
during 1999. The world is a confusing place.

no they only said that because they thought it was the last time
we were going to get a 12/12/12 but we will in 3012 in 1000
years.and the sun will explode in 4 billion years so that will
kill us out!but in 4 billion years so relax:)
