Let's see those trees (running thread)

Mine aren't up yet, but might be by today's end. So since I know
for a fact some of you are all decorated already, let's see
those trees ... as you do decorate.

Very pretty. We hit a snag, two actually. Sinus headache for me
and two strings of lights are not working, we had to make an
emergency run to the store.

A couple of years ago my now DIL asked me to grab up white
string lights for their wedding. So I did, like 10+ boxes and
they didn’t use them. I think I still have about 4 boxes left so
lights are not an issue for me.
I’m not done, but my fingers got into a fight with the hot glue
gun and now I’m a little afraid to use it. I also stubbed my toe
and stepped on a sharp object all at the same time, it wasn’t my
finest moment [emoji23]

ouch to both. I'll show my tree tomorrow. Be warned though..
it's a lot. I collect antique ornaments and never like to part
with any. Luckily I bought an aluminum tree at an antique store
so I can decorate that too.

I'm so jealous! I want a silver tinsel (aluminum) tree so bad I
can't see straight. But they are so expensive & I've never ran
across one for sale in our antique stores. The one time I saw
one, it wasn't for sale.

I'm just now starting to drag out all the Christmas boxes. I
typically put the tree up undecorated for 2-3 days so the cats
can get their fill before I cover it in sparkly balls that the
cats consider toys. Since I've rearranged so many things this
year, I have to find new spots for the nutcracker army. It
typically takes me a week or so before I get everything up &
stop futsing over it all & changing things up.

I have way too much to get done this week, so I'll probably
start dragging things out next week and get the tree home and up
at least.

I do that too. Last night the Mr looked at what little was on
the tree and said "it won't be there when I get home tomorrow.
You'll move everything around" He's right, I have to find the
right decoration balance.
Today I'll finish the tree and hopefully get other decorations
up. The tubs are taking over the entire livingroom and I have to
empty them to move them.
