[RESOLVED]Halp SMB Griffin Me; A Discourse on Clowns, Fireball,
and Incompetence

Meanwhile, in the magical land of Monolith, trouble was afoot.
While playing a clown, I decided to be a teleporting escape
artist. I slotted my spells for Teleport, Jaunt, Blink, Disable
Tech, Knock, Blind, Smoke, Horsemask, and Flesh to Stone as my
sole defence. As I spawned, DarkShinigamiX playing as Captain
Yuki Hiromi, immediately called me a threat. Adam Cooper walked
up with a plasma pistol and asked if I could dodge a bullet
before opening fire. I obliged. He then traced me down and tried
to gun me down. I petrified him to flee, and later was set on
fire, polyacided, gunned down, and decapitated.
I adminhelped for trialmin smb64 to look into the murder, and
received no response. I then respawned, slotted fireball this
time, and met similar results, prompting me to start blasting
Hiromi and Cooper in self defence, as the only viable counter to
big honking guns and chloral hydrate.
I adminhelped at the end of the round, and received the
response that this would not have happened if I hadn't attacked
them and to adminhelp next time. The problem with this logic is
that I did not attack first and did not have a combat spell
until respawning, and I had adminhelped but he refused to
answer. When Shinigami and I argued at the end of the round
about what went down, Cooper having contacted me on Skype and
apologized, smb64 told us both to shut up on pain of being
banned, and to take it into skype, rather than moderate the
argument himself or even glance at the logs. The next round, the
HoP contacted me because he had lost his ID, which mysteriously
vanished or did not spawn at all as far as he let on.
I teleported into the Captain's Office, told Hiromi what the
problem was, and Hiromi referred to me with 'Yuki Hiromi would
glare at the clown bastard.' Use of 2nd person in an emote
aside, this was quite rude. I took the ID, gave it to the HoP
and printed a new one for him, gave it back, and Yuki told me to
shush when I said what went down. This was quite rude, so I cast
Arse Nath. Making sure it didn't kill her, I then left and
started walking around before smb64 said in ooc 'I saw that,
Aranamor'. I explained why I did it, and smb64 accused me of
lying to an admin, when logs were clearly present of both
rounds.
Now, DarkShinigamiX knows me from another server and greatly
dislikes me. I am ordinarily fine with this, because he is
generally too unrobust to do anything to me over it. However,
smb64, rather than look at the previous round and what led up to
Yuki's assplosion, accused me of lying to an admin and being a
pest, whereafter he banned me as I was explaining myself with
the following reason.
You have been banned by smb64.
Reason: griefing, using Arse 'Nath on other players, lying to an
admin, blaming another player for your actions, "defending"
yourself by causing breaches (you're lucky I'm giving you
tempban for this since you seem like a generally nice guy).
This is a temporary ban, it will be removed in 1440 minutes.

Now, this is just a dayban. I do not care if it's lifted,
because that's a stupid reason to appeal and shows a lack of
patience. I'm appealing because I find smb64 to be unfit as a
trialmin, and therefore unfit as an admin for the server. There
was also a prior incident the round before the beginnings of our
antagonism, wherein he deleted several playermobs with no
warning over things that later proved to be mistaken or
irrelevant, while allowing two players to **** on the floor and
attempt to break into the AI core. I handily wiped them both
before being deleted myself, which to his credit he apologized
for, but he did not deal with them in any way whatsoever, and
deleted a player for 'spacing' another, when in reality he threw
that player into just another room and that player was unharmed.
In short, I found smb64 to be curt, rude, inattentive, immature,
unprofessional, and unhelpful. I do not think that he should be
an admin on this server, given his behaviour tonight. I am not a
regular, I play here maybe once a week to let off steam and
practice new clown gimmicks, so perhaps you won't take my
opinion very seriously. That's alright, but isn't the point of a
trialmincy to test and see if they are capable? How can we judge
that without player input, especially input from someone who has
no relationships with anyone in the server beyond an unfriendly
acquaintance and thus very little bias? That's my two bananium
coins on the matter.

from my computer due to an ill-timed family problem in real life
and I made a swift, albit poorly-judged, decision knowing I
would not be able to get back until the next day. I wish to
apologize for my actions and I do hope that you accept
it.[/font]
That being said, talking rudely to me and saying I'm not doing
my job while I was having to deal with you constantly talking in
ooc about every little thing I was supposedly doing wrong was
not helping me get the main issues resolved, BUT... I'm willing
to look past this because you did reveal a problem with the way
I was doing things (I was keeping an eye out for the wrong type
of behavior), which would probably become a major issue later
down the line, I thank you for that. This is my first real
feedback I've received as an (trial) admin, and while I'm not...
thrilled about it, I can at least say I've learned something
from this.
Again, I apologize for my actions and I hope you'll forgive me.

It's not a big deal, Koshi. I wasn't having a great night,
myself. Sucks that you're having problems at home, I took a
year-long hiatus myself because I was having so many problems
with my home life and it was spilling into the game and bumming
everyone out. Just keep in mind that I'm just here to enjoy
myself, and I'm rarely out to cause trouble for anybody. Half
the time something goes wrong and I, or anyone for that matter,
am the clown, it's because some IC issue sparked it whether from
my prank being ill-planned and disruptive or someone else just
deciding to play smear the queer. My advice, having adminned for
Sigurd for a little while, is just to watch and wait, and see
what could have caused an issue. A lot of dumbassery can be
resolved if we just keep calm heads. For my part, I probably
could have done a lot better than hurling explosive balls of
fire given the sandbox resolving my own situation ICly. Anyway,
like I said, it's no big deal. Cheers.
